The Dingle Peninsula ~ The Dingle Peninsula or Corca Dhuibhne stretches 30 miles (48 kilometres) into the Atlantic Ocean from Ireland's south-west coast

The peninsula is dominated by the range of mountains that form its spine, running from the Slieve Mish range to Mount Brandon, Ireland's second highest peak

The coastline consists of steep sea-cliffs, broken by sandy beaches, with two large sand spits at Inch in the south and the Maharees to the north

Book a local driver to bring you on a scenic drive of the Peninsula and the magnificent Slea Head incorporating some archaeological sights. Follow the local craft trail and visit the workshops of artisans producing Cut Glass, Handcrafted Leather, Whiskey and Pottery before stopping for a gorgeous local lunch. It will be a day to remember

Cookery Thursdays

If your stay includes a Thursday and you love cooking, try a cookery class and learn about traditional Irish cooking

In this half-day hands-on class, Dingle Cookery School will provide you with a deeper understanding of how our rich culture and wild landscape have shaped our food and ingredients for hundreds of years.

On arrival, enjoy fresh scones and tea, while you learn how our food has been influenced since the earliest settlers arrived. Experience the wonderful aromas of traditional brown soda bread straight from the oven and learn how to handle and prepare our local fish, meat and vegetables

You will leave with first-hand knowledge of the foods of Ireland. We guarantee you will understand why at Dingle Cookery School they are excited and passionate to share the magnificent world of Irish food

Photography Tour Workshop

How about some camera education and skills whilst on vacation. Learn about your camera settings and controls, while also exploring composition, lighting, atmosphere and mood, during a relaxing workshop and tour of our fabulous outdoor classroom, here on the Dingle Peninsula

This workshop that can be adapted to meet your wishes, whether you prefer evening, black & white, landscape or something else. It is available all year round and George Jackson from Dingle Darkroom, will bring you to the best of the Peninsula and you will return a confident and rewarded photographer

Eco-Tours

There are a range of the amazing sea tours to observe the sea life, dolphins, whales, seals, and the bird life, puffins, shearwaters, gannets, around the Baskets. Tours average 2.5 to 6 hours. The scenery is unmissable

Hopefully the weather obliges, but the tour will be one of the stand out memories of your visit to Dingle regardless

Bike & Picnic

This can be organised for both a push and electric bike. Set off on a leisurely day, to discover the ancient and spectacularly beautiful peninsula. Either bring a picnic basket or visit some of the great spots to grab a delicious scone or brownie. Take a day to enjoy the scenery and stop at your own pace. Our summers have long bright evenings so you can set out that bit later if you wish

Guided maps, helmets and safety vests are provided
